Privacy notice
This notice explains what personal data quillandgown.com collects and why. The controller is Liftmaster American and Global LLC (trading as Quill & Gown), 1966 Quincy Court, Glendale Heights, Illinois 60139, USA. Contact: [email protected]. Our ICO registration number is 00015717765. We follow the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 for our UK users.
What we collect
- Account: your e-mail address, language, whether you agreed to receive news, and when you signed in.
- Sign-in and security: one-time sign-in tokens (with the IP address that asked for them, to stop abuse; deleted after 24 hours) and a session cookie.
- Purchases: what you bought, the amount and date, and Stripe's reference numbers. Card details go to Stripe only; we never see them.
- Viewing: which lessons your account opened and when (to deliver the service, handle refunds and prevent account sharing).
- News e-mails: if you subscribe, your e-mail address with MailerLite.
- Standard technical logs kept by Cloudflare to deliver and secure the site.
Why, and on what basis
To run your account, deliver what you bought and send sign-in e-mails (performance of our contract with you); to keep records for tax and accounting (legal obligation); to prevent fraud and account sharing and keep the site secure (legitimate interests); and to send news e-mails only if you opt in (consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
Who processes it for us
Cloudflare (hosting and database), Stripe (payments), Resend (sign-in e-mails), Bunny.net (video streaming) and MailerLite (news e-mails, if you subscribe). Some of them process data outside the UK, including in the USA, under appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum. We never sell your data.
Cookies
One strictly necessary cookie keeps you signed in. Your language choice is stored in your own browser. We use no advertising or analytics cookies. The video player (Bunny.net) and the checkout page (Stripe) may set their own necessary cookies.
How long
Account data while your account is open; purchase records for six years for tax purposes; sign-in tokens 24 hours; sessions 30 days; viewing records up to two years. Ask us to close your account at any time.
Children
Accounts are held by parents or guardians, or by pupils aged 13 or over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, delete or export your data, or object to or restrict its use, by writing to [email protected]. We acknowledge data-protection complaints within 30 days. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

由谁代为处理
Cloudflare（托管与数据库）、Stripe（支付）、Resend（登录邮件）、Bunny.net（视频播放）、MailerLite（通知邮件，仅限订阅者）。部分处理者在英国境外（包括美国）处理数据，采用英国国际数据传输附录等适当保障措施。我们不会出售你的数据。
Cookie

保存多久

未成年人
账号由家长或监护人、或 13 岁及以上的学生持有。我们不会有意收集 13 岁以下儿童的个人信息。
你的权利
写信到 [email protected] 可要求查看、更正、删除、导出你的数据，或反对、限制其使用。数据保护投诉我们会在 30 天内回复确认。你也可以向英国信息专员办公室（ico.org.uk）投诉。
