When is the exam, and when should we start?
The King's Scholarship papers normally sit late in the spring term, late April to early May. Counting back, twelve to eighteen months of systematic past-paper work is the safe run-in — roughly what seven years of papers (2019–2025) cover.
Why is English split into reading and writing?
Up to 2023 there is one English paper a year (PART ONE reading, PART TWO writing), plus Creative Writing in 2021–2023; 2024 and 2025 have papers A and B, each with reading and writing. The two skills are trained differently, so they are taught as separate lines.
Buying outright versus membership — what is the difference?
Buying outright means the lesson stays in your library for good. A paid membership opens every lesson while it runs, including new years and schools as they land. Either one works on its own.
