考什么The papers

五门必考，三门以上选考Five compulsory papers, three or more optional

下面按哈罗 2027 年考纲整理（本站自写摘要）。凡是哈罗公开过往年卷的科目，我们每年每份卷都讲。A summary, in our words, of Harrow's 2027 syllabus. Every subject with published past papers gets a lesson for every paper, every year.

必考Compulsory

在哈罗考Sat at Harrow

English90 分钟 · 每年两讲90 min · two lessons a year: Section A 写作（议论文、文章、演讲或书信）；Section B 阅读，就一段散文、诗歌或戏剧写分析。两部分都考拼写、语法和标点。Section A, writing (an essay, article, speech or letter); Section B, reading — an analytical essay on a short passage of prose, poetry or drama. Spelling, grammar and punctuation count in both.
Maths 190 分钟 · 可用计算器90 min · calculator: Common Entrance Additional 难度，考查一般数学能力的常规题。Common Entrance Additional level; straightforward questions on general mathematical ability.
Maths 290 分钟 · 不可用计算器90 min · no calculator: 题目不套公式，重解题和书面推理，不要求做完。Less formulaic problems, with the weight on problem-solving and written reasoning; not expected to be finished.
Science90 分钟90 min: 生物、化学、物理综合卷：选择题、短答、长答和数据分析，重解决问题。Biology, chemistry and physics in one synoptic paper: multiple choice, short and long answers and data analysis, built around problem-solving.
Philosophy and Applied Ethics75 分钟75 min: 读一篇指定文本或几篇文章，就一个不熟悉的议题写出论证。伊顿没有对应科目，我们为它单独设计了讲法。Read a set text or several articles on an unfamiliar issue and build a written argument. Eton has no equivalent; we built a lesson format for it.
Analytical Reasoning · General Linguistic Skills: 60 分钟机考智力测试与 45 分钟陌生语言分析：学校不公开往年卷，并说明无需准备，本站不设课。A 60-minute computer-based reasoning test and a 45-minute paper on an unknown or invented language: never published, and Harrow says they need no preparation — so no lessons.

选考Optional

至少 3 门，一般在本校考At least three, usually at the candidate's own school

Latin90 分钟90 min: 两篇拉丁文理解（叙事与语法）+ 一篇拉译英；最后二选一：三句英译拉，或更难、改编更少的原文理解。Comprehension on two Latin passages (narrative and grammar) and a translation into English; then a choice of three English sentences into Latin or harder, less adapted Latin.
Greek60 分钟60 min: 按 Common Entrance 思路的分层题，最后是一段较难的连续希腊文翻译。Differentiated questions along Common Entrance lines, ending with a harder piece of continuous Greek to translate.
French60 分钟笔试 + 5 分钟口试60 min written + 5 min oral: 阅读与词汇、语法变形、短句法译、约 130 词的作文。我们讲笔试卷。Reading and vocabulary, grammar manipulation, short sentences into French and a composition of about 130 words. We teach the written paper.
Spanish2025 年起 · 形式同法语from 2025 · as French: 面向非母语考生，笔试结构与法语相同，作文提纲用西班牙语给出。For non-native speakers; the written paper mirrors French, with the composition outline given in Spanish.
Geography60 分钟60 min: 地图、图表、照片的数据题，外加一篇从多个题目中选一的论述。Structured data-response questions on maps, graphs and photographs, and one essay from a broad choice.
History90 分钟90 min: 一两份陌生题材的原始史料分析、二选一论述、一道考历史推理的开放题。2026 年合卷未收 History。A document exercise on one or two unfamiliar primary sources, an essay from a choice of two, and a task testing historical reasoning. The 2026 combined papers include no History.
